We have an exciting opportunity for a part-time Advanced Clinical Practitioner to join our Integrated Mental Health team with an element of shared care across the wider team at HMP Wakefield, a category A prison in Wakefield.

The Advanced Clinical Practitioner (Mental Health) will be a patient-facing, non-managerial role and play a pivotal role in delivering high quality, evidence based mental health care within the prison environment.

Hours

Working 37.5 hours a week, either working 4x long days 8-6 or 8-4 Monday to Friday.

Salary

This position is full time, you’ll receive an annual salary up to £66,792 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

Qualifications required:

- Registered Nurse – Mental Health, with current NMC registration. We will consider applicants from other professional disciplines who can demonstrate experience of working with patients with complex MH conditions
- - Independent/supplementary prescriber qualification
- - MSc in Advanced Practice
- - Experience of working within mental health services, ideally in secure mental health, crisis, acute, community settings and good knowledge of the MHA
- - Understanding of risk management, self-harm prevention, suicide prevention, trauma-informed care
- - Drive quality improvement, clinical audit, governance and contribute to service transformation projects
- - Provide clinical supervision, mentorship, and support to Band 7 clinicians, RMNs, HCAs, and students.
