We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at HMP Pentonville, a category B remand Prison located in Islington close to Caledonian Road Station. The site houses around 1180 male patients aged 18+, many of whom have complex health needs and have previously been disconnected from the healthcare system. This role will specifically involve working within receptions, with the new intake of patients on Saturdays. During the receptions time we offer a nurse led service, GP's will be involved in same day medications, leavers medication, acute health needs and substance misuse detox and prescribing.

This position is part-time role working 8 hours per week.

Salary

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £138,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

During my GP training the part which I enjoyed the most was the out-of-hours (OOH) element with Harmoni (which later became Care UK, now the Practice Plus Group). With no administrative tasks, bloods to file, documents to check, it was as close to the acute care as a GP could get. I was very well supported by Practice Plus Group during this time and was able to excel and make a mark.
