Healthcare Assistant

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Run and support clinics on the wings and in healthcare! Clinics are a crucial part of our service, and include bloods, ECGs, wound care, health promotion and NHS Health Checks
• Support the nurses on duty with all aspects of care
• Second sign in pharmacy and support pharmacy staff as needed, including on medication rounds
• Respond to emergencies as needed alongside the nurse on duty
• Although working mainly in primary care, you will also gain experience in mental health and substance misuse

• Hold a Care Certificate and/or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
• Have experience within a care setting - we would love to hear from you if you have experience in the community, care home, hospitals etc
• Any clinical experience would be a bonus - venepuncture, wound care, observations etc
• Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
