Healthcare Assistant

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Working within the primary care team, you will work with Nurses and Nursing Associates across the service
• Run health clinics on the wings and in the healthcare department. Clinics include bloods, wound care and health promotion
• Assist with clinical observations, vaccination clinics etc
• Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
• Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback 
• Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
• Support the nursing and pharmacy teams onsite
• Assist with release and discharge when needed

Our new Healthcare Assistant will:

• Have experience within a care environment - ideally primary care
• Experience of bloods (venepuncture/phlebotomy), ECGs etc would be a bonus
• Experience of working within a multi-disciplinary team 
• Hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 qualification in Health & Social Care, or Care Certificate
• Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
