Substance Misuse Service Manager (12 Month FTC)

As our new Substance Misuse Service Manager, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Manage the Recovery service onsite, including line management responsibility for 8 Recovery Workers, 1 x Administrator and 1 x Support Worker
• Manage the delivery of a busy and dynamic substance misuse service, providing psychosocial treatment interventions, including assessments, planning, audits and rotas/timetables 
• Play a key part within the prison's drug strategy, including attending wider prison meetings
• Provide effective leadership to the SMS team, including supervisions and training
• Manage a smaller caseload if required
• Review and improve the service offered to patients, ensuring that the team are delivering a high quality, safe, effective and efficient service to the patients

• Hold valid prison clearance / vetting
• Previous experience as a Recovery Worker
• Ideally experience within a managerial or team lead post
• Experience of working with individuals who misuse alcohol and substances, with knowledge of the current operating environment within substance misuse
• Excellent knowledge of the requirements to ensure CQC compliance 
• A passion for helping patients, and is committed to the growth and development of the service
