Healthcare Support Worker

As our new Healthcare Support Worker, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Help those with long term conditions by carrying out bloods (venepuncture), observations, NHS health checks etc
• Carry out reception duties - helping those entering prison, carrying out point of care duties such as blood borne viruses and clinical observations
• Run and assist in clinics such as sexual health and health promotion
• Assist with the administration side of vaccines and immunisations
• Carry out duties within healthcare rooms on the wings
• Assist the wider primary care team as needed

• Hold a Care Certificate and/or NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care
• Have experience within a care setting - we would love to hear from you if you have experience in the community, care home, hospitals etc
• Any clinical experience would be a bonus - venepuncture, wound care, observations etc
• Have a non-judgemental and compassionate approach
